A nice customer service follow-up

April 03rd 2007

I just love those Nerds on Site. After my local Nerd, Graham, came to the rescue when I had problems getting on the Internet last week, I filled out a follow-up survey. (The top rating is “Nerdtastic!”) Today, I received a note from the head Nerds, John, David and Charlie, who own Nerds on Site and pull in tech-savvy people around the world to provide local service. The note thanked me for taking the time to share how I feel about the company, the service and the nerds. It adds:

“A highlight for each of us every single day is reading all the client comments from that day. These already number 200-300 per day.”

I can well believe it, having checked the site (Clients > Testimonials) and finding several comments from the past couple of days. Now, that’s positive reinforcement; not just happy customers, but happy customers who tell you how great you are every single day!

A nice follow-up that adds a warm feeling to the whole relationship.

Another funny blog for freelancers

Here’s a refreshing and funny blog, written by a freelance writer in Pennsylvania. Kathy Kehrli’s blog is called Screw You!, which is what she says to rude/delinquent/hard-to-reach clients, the IRS and more. Of course, it’s not all ranting and raving; Kathy often has useful comments and advice.
