Social media summit in Hamilton April 11, 2013

Join IABC/Toronto Westend and IABC Golden Horseshoe on Thursday, April 11, 2013 for a lively panel discussion all about social media — the good, the bad and the ugly. Presenters include:

  • Kevin MacKenzie, who leads the social media practice at Marshall Fenn Communications in Toronto. He’ll look at the effects of social media on our daily lives and the implications for business communications.
  • Erin Walker of Toronto Pearson International Airport, and Sergeant Jay Turner of the Hamilton Police Service, who will share the stories you want to hear on how they’re using social media.

Dr. Alex Sevigny, Director of Professional Communication Programs at McMaster University, will moderate.

You’ll leave with a good story or two, and a better understanding of how social media fits in today’s communications strategies.

Location: Room 1 C/D, McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Rd. S., Hamilton, ON

Cost: $30 for students; $35 for IABC members by March 29 or $40 after; $45 for non-members. The price includes a buffet lunch of assorted wraps, salads, raw veggies, squares and cookies along with coffee, tea, juice and water. Parking is free.

Register now! See you there.
