You might want to try out honku.org. A honku is a haiku about traffic (thanks to the PumpTalk blog for sending me in right direction.) I think it’s a hilarious concept!. A couple of examples:
If, in fact, TOMRULZ
would he need to announce it
on vanity plates?

Psycho behind me
what do you want me to do -
hit the crossing child?

Seems you got your blogging mojo back, even if it is to write about getting your blogging mojo back. This is a great example of metacognition (knowing about knowing). Reminds me of an old saying: “It is wisdom that seeks wisdom.” In other words, you had it all along. It just needed a proper time to come out.

Oh Sue, it IS never just a dog. We have our first dog in our lives now, a Golden Retriever, and I am already thinking about how awful it will be to say good-bye to her. She is 3! I’m so grateful we got her and now understand the special relationship you can have with this marvellous creature.

Here is my favourite quote about dogs —

“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.”
– Unknown

This quote gets me out in the wind and the rain with her – and I’m always glad that I did.

I love to wear red (although not next to you, since it’s YOUR colour, Sue). I would not wear it on camera, since it tends to bleed, not because it would make me look repellant.

I think we should wear the shades that make us feel best. And if we look good in red, then “red has the power.”
